sanjoa
Hi, guys! My computer is having an strange behavior regarding the CPU core usage: my CPU processor is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core 4000+ (yes, a bit oldie but realiable). The second core is always having between 69% and 80% of usage while the first core is on 7%-20% of usage most of the time. Is this a normal behaviour? Thanks in advance :)
eurobyn
open taskmanager and see what services is eating cpu power.

Picollo
in fact there was a little program called cpu idle for xp and earlier computers with the objective of putting the cpu in 100 or 99% idle to cool down the cpu.CPU cooling will help you achieve these things:decrease CPU temperatureenhance stabilityenable overclocking (overclocking increases temperature- CpuIdle gives additional headroom)increase CPU life (a decrease by 10°C doubles the life span)cut power consumption
