elohelomg
I'm not one to install an antivirus, but, from time to time, do have to scan. It does get hectic. I was wondering if there was a way to make Eset and Kaspersky portable? I know kaspersky has a virus removal tool, but, you have to download a fresh copy every time you want to scan, and, would like to be able to keep all the updates say on a usb stick. Would also be cool if the regular scanners we all use mbam and such could be made portable too, and not require an install. So, is there any way? Knightmare
ESET has standalone removers and an online scanner, but I don't know if that's what you want.
lazzser
Not a good idea to try to turn an antivirus in "portable" because it surely jeopardize active defense capabilities. If you just want to scan, both ESET as kaspesky offer such solutions for free: google for "ESET Online Scanner", "Kaspesky Security Scan" or "Kaspesky Rescue Risk".There are other interesting alternatives like Emsisoft Emergency Kit (now with Bitdefender AV engine) or Dr. Web CureIt, both are free and portable. PurplebeanZ
Try comodo cleaning essentials - you can run it straight of a usb stick. I've found it spot on.
