dcs18
The AntiVirus hasn't blocked the file part - but, zapped it (sounds eerily like Norton.)

dcs18
Are you using a download manager like for instance IDM or are you probably trying to download directly with your browser?
ugatme
I have IDM but trying just with ff16.01 cause I noticed it "never" worked with IDM in the past.Just tried excluding the E:\temp folder, no joy lol
dcs18
Did you try getting into your Firefox profile ( C:\Users\<Windows login/user name>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile folder> ) and then deleting the compreg.dat file (if it exists.) Please note the [above] Firefox profile directory presumes you're running Windows 7 / Vista or Windows 8 (hopefully not. )
