How do you make your video files from a DVD?

I guess I'm just trying to see if there is a better method than the one that I'm using. I've already improved my method by going from using 4 programs down to only 2. I used to use AnyDVD + 1-Click Copy Pro + JoinVOB + Any Video Converter. Now I simply use the following:

- Any DVD Shrink: Decrypts and Rips all in one

- AutoGK: This tool takes the .ifo file from the DVD folder and makes an avi file that is close to 700 MB. You can select any size you want, but I like 700 MB because it's the standard.

Which program(s) do you use to make copies of your DVDs?

DVDFab. No need for an additional decrypter and has plenty of options for ripping.

Is the output file 700 MB?

I don't know what it is, but I could not use Handbrake. Either my computer didn't like it, or I don't know how to use it.

Like i said if you want there are easy to use handbrake derivatives: EasyBrake or VidCoder, if you find Handbrake too hard.

Yes, you can set a user specified file size output to whatever you wish.

I might have to try out this program then. All-in-one would be an improvement. So it will convert the ripped DVD to an avi file? It didn't say anything about it on their website; that's why I'm curious. It mentioned iso files but not avi.
