grouchysmurf
What I have gleened from your info: You have attempted every known process to re-enable chrome No luck Let's get to basics:Grab FULL Chrome install file and install it. Yes, I know it is still broke.Restart system after install. Yes, I know it is still broke.Use Revo to completely uninstall Chrome. Use the advanced settings. Delete EVERYTHING that pops up. Do not close Revo if you are asked to restart your system, just select restart later or close that window. Completely finish with Revo.Revo done, restart system. Now, re-open Revo and check start up files. Make sure you recognize what is auto starting, (some will be system files), if all looks good, close Revo. Now use CCleaner, and select the registry option. Scan for issues. Look thru the list and see if you see anything related to Chrome. If you Find anything, let CCleaner clean it. Close CCleaner. Now this is about as Chrome free as you can get. I am using the assumption that you do NOT have a Trojan, worm, or any other nasty happening on your system. Get whatever "official" Chrome release file is available and try to re-install. If this does not solve it, then the only other thing I can think of is the installation is somehow being corrupted. You might try disabling your AV and firewall before installation. Thats all I got. Good luck.
majithia23
@raviYou dont need to keep the second account running .Just create it for testing purposes ( right now for installing chrome . to see if the issue resolves or not ) and then delete it ! ;)And on the same note, its always recommended to have 2 accounts or three . One Admin ( or a second Admin optional ... ) and a Limited User Account !Security reasons , back up reasons , safety measure .

johndoe
srware iron is a scam actually, ur better off with comodo dragon instead. you could also try a complete uninstall of chrome and install from the .MSI installer, who knows, it might fix the issue, worth a try at least

That's bad news when you have an aberration. The good news is you've (involuntarily) started the process of shedding dead snake-skin - good luck. ;)
Administrator DKT27 Posted October 10, 2012 Administrator Share Posted October 10, 2012 How about a screenshot?Once, something like this happened to me, except, instead of Chrome, it was Folder Lock. I don't know how or when it was fixed. But I believe it was only fixed when they changed their GUI.
