ESS.pngESET Smart Security is a fully integrated security solution and includes antivirus, anti-spyware, a personal firewall and antispam. While some competitive solutions purport to have similar functionality, ESET has developed a unique approach that provides true and full integration of point security solutions. The key advantage of this approach is that individual protection modules are able to communicate together seamlessly, to create unparalleled synergy to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of protection. Moreover, the integrated architecture guarantees optimal utilization of system resources, so ESET Smart Security continues ESET's well know reputation for providing rock solid security in a small footprint that will not slow down an individual's computer.

still says it's 3.0.672.0

Please explain in more detail. What says still 3.0.672.0?

The X86 version that's supposed to be "3.0.684". The timestamp on the file is from October 24th apparently. I guess ESET once again failed to promptly update their file servers.

Ok that one - I got this news earlier to day by someone and reacted to the the timestamp given as well. So I waited some hours before posting anything. But that is what you get from the 18 December official release as well. And mind you I downloaded this stuff from their official pages with the version 3.0.684 marked. Size of setup files for 3.0.672 and 3.0.684 differs quite a lot also.

Timestamp of the installer is a bit weird (24. oktober 2008 21:30:49)

But then the 3.0.672 version gives 21. august 2008 10:49:28.
