xpize5r6 (theme) change logon .bmp query

Hi there I have installed Xpize5R6 which is a unsigned XP theme,

it patches over xp files to create custom theme.

The themes it has are nice but the initial screen right after POST,

the first windows boot screen is ugly.

So I found the image, by looking in windows folder for it.

It is called 'Boot.BMP' so I found an image I like,

converted it to a Bitmap and then replaced 'Boot.BMP'.

But now there is no image before xp loading screen, it is blank.

So I thought maybe because my boot.bmp is 3mb,

I resized now it is 900kb but still won't show.

Is there something I must change in registry or how can I get my Boot.bmp image

to load. The stock one for this theme is 150kb or so.

Can't figure how to lose size off a bmp without resizing resolution.

Thanks, image I want to use is attached as a JPG.

Can I use a JPG as I easily made this small size without resolution being lost.

If not please convert this JPG to a small file size BMP for me if you know how.
