SacredCultivator
I created this thread probably the day right before the servers went haywire. Anyway, going to do a shorter version this time around. So I currently own a Motorola W490, and using T-mobile's Prepaid minutes plan (It works for me) But given the times, I do get embarrassed at moments when pulling out my dumbphone when close to everyone else has a smartphone. And so was thinking of possibly investing into a smartphone BUT at the same time continue using my SIM/pre-paid minutes (So it'd have to be unlocked + compatible with T-mobile). I forget, but someone brought up looking up those on-the-go phones that are pre-paid, I looked at most (at various places, including Fry's) and most are dumbphones, a few are smartphones but they look like the Blackberry (quite ugly). So wondering if anyone happened to know of any recommendations (As friends said to try Craigslist / eBay) but given I'm not techy, I don't know how to search / if the value is worth it and whatnot. My current budget is $100, which I know won't get me anything (Even old gen. smartphones). And thinking maybe if I bumped it to $150, I may have better odds/options. Definitely not considering $200 just yet as my need for one isn't high. - - - On a side-note, I'm actually also looking for a new laptop mouse / headset (doesn't have to be professional gaming, just one that works). I say that because I don't know what brand my current ones are (But the logo is like an atom, witht he revolving unno what you call them... anyway they are old and poop on my ears, so I can't wear them and it's only good for its mic. So just wanting a new one that's decent, nothing all gamer-type. Friend recommended the Razer Electra, but mixed reviews on that (especially about its mic since it's not like the norm where you see the actual mic) Thanks and this turned out much longer than planned ><
R0H1T
Try this Motorola DROID RAZR M which is available under 100$ with a contract from Verizon Wireless, not sure about the availability though !
SacredCultivator
AH guess I shoulda made that clear. I don't want a contract, those are pricey / not worth it for me. So it'd be just an unlocked phone, no contracts attached.
Administrator DKT27 Posted September 26, 2012 Administrator Share Posted September 26, 2012 Simple, Galaxy Y. :tooth:Thing is, Galaxy Y has become so common, it won't look good. But for that matter, even other cheap ones won't look good.

R0H1T
Well tbh for ~100$ you won't get a "reliable" smartphone, however if you're fine with refurbished/used models you can try eBay which IMHO is pretty safe so if you're willing I can provide you some specific models that may fulfill your criteria ? SacredCultivator
Oh yeah ebay / craigslist is cool with me just as long as it's reliable. Cause if anything for the smartphone, I think I'll primarily be using it for we-Fi (I won't be needing a data plan.)
RadioActive
I'm not sure about your budget, but I would suggest something like Sony Xperia S or its little brother Sony Xperia Sola. Also, you can't go wrong with a Samsung Galaxy SII (forget about SIII). I would stay away from Samsung Galaxy SL though.
