SacredCultivator
Hello, Wanted some opinions, currently I have a Linksys WRT54G2, and some people are saying it doesn't support enough connections (dropped connections when downloading with uTorrent), though it doesn't happen with QBittorrent / Tixati (With BitComet it does, but I need to really limit the connections) So question is, as friend found this deal on a Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N. Not too sure if it's worth it. May possibly support more connections, adn this one is compatible with DD-WRT firmware which should be a plus, as my Linksys doesn't. I do like the no external antennae of my Linksys though =P
ck_kent
The Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N has 32MB RAM compared to the 16MB of Linksys WRT54G2 v1.0 so it should be able to cope with more load. Buffalo also comes with their re-branded version of DD-WRT. The default firmware loaded in the Buffalo router is their "User-Friendly" (not DD-WRT). You can use its Web admin to update the firmware to its re-branded DD-WRT inside the included CD. SacredCultivator
Thanks for that, shall buy it and give it a shot and hope for the best of it. Read a few reviews and some are just about the firmware. But will probably just snag latest copy of DD-WRT and install that and hope for the best. Hopefully the installation process isn't too hard and I don't mess with the antennae too much.
