Scan downloaded files (Even without realtime AV)

Hello,

users that don't use real-time protection should know how to protect themselves.

We will start with Firefox browser.

First download Firefox Add-on Download Statusbar.

After that restart Firefox.

Go to Tools / Add-ons / Extensions and Select Option on Download Statusbar.

Go to Virus Scan tab and enable "Manually scan completed downloads".

On Anti-Virus program location enter location of on demand scanner.

In case it is Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware locate mbam.exe file in Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ for 64 bit

or in Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ for 32 bit system.

If you want to scan downloaded files with Hitman Pro then find installed HMP location and select HitmanPro36.exe.

Same goes for Emsisoft Emergency Kit, SUPERAntiSpyware, Ad-Aware and so on...

Save settings.

If you use Internet Download Manager then go to Downloads / Options /Downloads and in Virus scanner program locate wanted on demand scanner.
