mara-
I'm currently using uTorrent v3.1.3 build 27167 and I have no intention to switch to another client. I don't have any issues with it and I'm satisfied. As long as it's working good and as long as ads can be turned off, I'll keep using it. I'll probably upgrade to latest version when I check out the changelog, but their forum seems down.Cheers ;)
Administrator DKT27 Posted August 21, 2012 Author Administrator Share Posted August 21, 2012 Number one reason me switching to qBittorrent? Gone those days when uTorrent speeds were stable and fully utilized my connection.Seeding in one day:uTorrent: 800-900MB max.qBitTorrent: 1.3-1.5GB max. What's the main use of a torrent client? Downloading and uploading. Now, if a client, which keeps adding bulk, but doesn't efficiently do the thing that it's actually made for, then what's the use of being the no.1 torrent client? SacredCultivator
Random but for those that do use Vuze, are the settings pretty easy to "set and forget" after initial tweaking?
Helio2k
Thanks. I'll try out Tixati next time. (I rarely use p2p. I'm a usenet guy) :) Can you suggest any god Usenet servers? Thank You
irefay
TrQt is a unofficial transmission client port for Windows/ Probably the reason it's not mentioned. ;) Thanks, but I've not written the article. I've just posted it here. The article is written and belongs to Torrentfreak. Only the email belongs to me I know but you send the mail and gave them the right info! :) I see. :) Yeah, I sort of figured that. As I said, I will keep what I have for now. It works with out any hassles. And by the way, nice email. ;) :) @Everyone: Thing is, as time passes by, some feature in current clients will get obsolete. If I would be the one using uTorrent, then I would stick to the current version too, but that's why I say, start trying new clients. What about post utorrent's user id randomization? Does it actually provide any protection from the RIAA/ MPAA?
Administrator DKT27 Posted October 15, 2012 Author Administrator Share Posted October 15, 2012 What about post utorrent's user id randomization? Does it actually provide any protection from the RIAA/ MPAA? I did read about it, but also read that it's just one of the ways to decrease the tracking. There are lot of loopholes and downsides that allow tracking. Like, they can still track your IP. Now, by randomization, they can't track you by your torrent client. So yeah, a good improvement, but not enough to be really happy about it.
