dcs18
Just in case, you're referring to system files from the older drive - do not attempt to copy (use a good backup software instead to restore the same to the newer drive.) ;)
lazzser
Acronis does a good job cloning drives to different sizes. Easeus Disk Copy may be another option, and it´s free for home use.
rudrax
You wanna replace 80 GB to 120 GB as your primary HDD?Or, you wanna make 120 GB one as secondary (backup) HDD?
Alanon
Just a little tip, however you set the drive up - use Tera Copy (the links are somewhere around Nsane). It will make copying much faster (and resumable, too): B)Good luck!

rudrax
Then I would recommend you to install a fresh copy of Windows(or any other OS you want) in the 120 GB one and let the 80 GB to be as a backup drive..Then whatever you need, copy them to the 120GB one. lazzser
i Want to replace 80 gb hard drive with 120 gbDownload Easeus Disk Copy HomeCreate a bootable pendrive/CD-ROMInstall both drives in the same systemBoot that system with the Disk Copy pendrive or CD-ROMClone the old drive to the new one. Please double check source an destination!Turn off the PC and disconnect the old driveReinstall the new drive in the same place of the old oneBoot with the cloned drive and take your time to test that everything is ok.Erase/partition/format the old drive and use it for whatever you wantEaseus Disk Copy can clone to a larger drive, but if by chance you end with a partition with the same size of the original one (80 GB) you can resize it to fit the new drive (120 GB). You can do this with Windows 7 disk manager or with any other tool ie. Easeus Partition Master Home (it´s free too). I hope it helps, sorry about my english.
