Hi guys,

This kind of another post has already been posted by me, Here

I have tried grub DOS (as suggested there) but not worked out.

The adapter reads the card well but nothing I can modify there.

I can use it with phone via data cable but as you know nokia data cables are sevrely slow.

I there any way left?

If you are talking about phone's user right, then nothing is there. Its a simple card not even password protected. And if you are talking about computer's user right, I log in as admin.

I know the slider at the edge of the adapter which when drawn towards bottom, the SD card gets write protected.

If you are talking about another SD card to buy, then the problem presists in other SD cards too. And if you are talking about buying a new adapter, then I have 3 adapters. I think not the all are gone dead.

The problem is not with the phone.

2GB cards are showing problem.

My friend, if I plug the card with a UBS card reader to my laptop, it works fine but if the plug the card in with SD adapter to the default SD slot in the laptop, shows 'read-only' problem.

It's totally your laptop SD card reader hardware fault. It sometimes happened to me too. My suggestion is try to clean your SD card reader by using air blower and some small cotton buds.

Well, it may be the bug. I'll acknowledge you soon after cleaning the slot.
