Let's take Acronis TrueImage as an example of generic boot CD that can be converted to bootable USB disk by FlashBoot.

Posted Image

1) Run FlashBoot, click Next

2) Choose CD -> USB in Main Menu

3) Choose CD/DVD drive or image file and click Next:

4) Choose "Wrap bootable CD/DVD" from the scenario list and click Next

5) Choose target USB disk (flash, HDD) or image file and click Next

6) Enter volume label or leave it as is and click Next

7) Check summary information and click Next

8) Wait for process completion

9) USB disk is ready for use. Click OK to exit

Tested/work

Can not start from USB-sticky! Asus P5K,does not see the USB-sticky in the boot-menu, 1-floppydrive,2-CD-DVD/drive,3-HDD( OS;Win7 Ult.SP1x64). Can anybody help us with this problem please? In BIOS you find; USB-STORAGES, where in the USB-sticks are recognised, there you can put them to floppy,CD-ROM,HDD or FDD., but not in the bootmenu !!

Maybe this may help --> Use PowerISO

It's for Win7 but I think you can use it for acronis as well.

Yes, but the question is; how to select This USB-stick in BIOS,as your first start, if you can not select USB in the bootmenu !

You'd be better off starting a new thread. ;)

A lot of bios use F8 to pick boot device...my old P5K-E WiFi did.

cruelsister

I seems remarkable that an AV would flag a plain text website and/or a program that has been around (untouched) for about 15 years as being untrusted. Is ESET now so rampant with false positives?

Why doesn't someone just upload the files from a usb drive that has already been set up to boot-up win 7. Wouldn't that be just as easy, especially for those that are pc challenged.

  • 3 weeks later...

Use iso file can only load single boot file, else,it dones't work.

You may creat boot usb disk vain ATHI itself,it's convenient!
