Win7nerd
ok im trying to DEENCRYPT IT, and this is what i got at 99.3 :( ive googled it and ive came up with nothing of use. ive tried as it came to no avail :(, im not sure if it has any difference but my hard drive (portable), is NTFS format, the funny thing is ive ran the chkdsk utility and NOTHING was wrong with it. (in the HD properties built into windows 7 ultimate), the even more strange thing is i CAN access it like you regularly put in a usb drive and the auto-run popup every-time if i can access it. but yeah i can access the contents of the drive and all BUT this is the nagging message i keep seeing. suggestions? (btw my portable HD is nearly new) western digital.
myidisbb
so you are able to view the files do it is decrypting so you can view. i think you have to turn the encrption off in order to fix the error. havent really mess with encyptiion though

Win7nerd
do you guys think if i move said contents to another portable harddrive and i format the "bad" drive it will fix it?
Administrator DKT27 Posted July 20, 2012 Administrator Share Posted July 20, 2012 Not sure. It should.I personally would never like to encrypt the HD. And if I would, I'll prefer something like Truecrypt (even though it's giving me BSOD these days, but you get the point).
