SacredCultivator
Not too sure when this issue started, more or less I'm not 100% sure if it's even related to Adobe Flash. But this is primarily for YouTube as I havne't noticed it on other streaming sites, but when watching videos I've noticed quite a lot of tearing int he video. I hope I'm using that term correctly, basically when the video is playing you're able to see horizontal lines here and there and it tears? the video making it a bit of a headache to watch. I'm currently using the latest version of Flash, 11.3 Unno if this can be fixed or if it's something that'll be there.
bsvols
Adobe Flash has had problems playing web videos since the first version 11 was released (tearing, blacked-out/blank video windows on Vimeo and MetaCafe, freezing, etc.) most prominently in Mozilla based browsers - Firefox, Palemoon, CometBird... They keep patching at it and offering half-a$$ed workarounds, like disabling hardware acceleration, but none of it is completely effective. You can use other browsers and get partial relief, but the best/only complete fix I've come up with is to uninstall version 11 with the official uninstaller from Adobe and install Flash Release Version 10 (I went with version 10.1 but Release 10.3 -NOT the Debugger versions- is fine, also). You can web-search for flash problems, and install the newest version when/if users report it's working right. I don't know for certain but I think it's O.K. to post links to those sorts of things. If it isn't, the Mods can remove them and bash me some, I guess. Some - but NOT NEARLY ALL of the issues are listed here - http://helpx.adobe.c...ack_issues . Uninstaller and instructions are found here - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html, Release Version Flash Player 10.3.183.10 (80.5 MB) is about half way down the page here - http://helpx.adobe.c...r-versions.html and Release 10.1((81.7 MB) is a little further down the same page under "Older Archives". Hope this does it for you.
SacredCultivator
Since I am using the 64-bit of Firefox (Nightly) I think 11.2? were the first builds to support it?
bsvols
You can try updating your graphics driver and the things on the Adobe site (disable stuff), try searching the Adobe Forums, or use a different browser for videos until Adobe gets their act together. I don't know any other things to try. I don't have Waterfox installed anymore, but in Palemoon 64-bit, disabling hardwre acceleration did work for MetaCafe and Vimeo - I just don't like not taking advantage of the fairly modern hardware and operating system (W7 x64) -that I paid for in my computer - by disabling it because Adobe is having hiccups and D.T.'s .Since mine is working fine, I quit looking for a different answer. Maybe someone has found an answer and posted it in Adobe Forums - http://forums.adobe....ity/flashplayer
bsvols
I just noticed, on the Forums download page (http://forums.adobe....4551666#4551666) for Flash 11.3.300.265 there is a note "For Firefox users crashing with today's update who are willing to assist us in determining the cause of the crashes, it'll be helpful if you can download and install the Firefox 15 "Aurora" release and submit all crash reports when they occur. Crash logs created and submitted with Firefox 15 will allow us to gather critical details that are missing from the current crash reports that are being generated with Firefox 13 and 14 and earlier versions." Good luck!
