qBittorrent is a multi-platform Bittorrent client developed in C++/Qt4. The qBittorrent project aims to provide a Free Software alternative to µtorrent. Its main features are its integrated search engine (allows searching for torrent from the main torrent Web sites simultaneously in a transparent fashion), its support for l'UPnP/NAT-PMP, Bittorrent protocol encryption (Azureus-compatible), Peer Exchange (PeX) compatible with µTorrent, IP filtering (eMule-like "ipfilter.dat" or PeerGuardian filters), Torrents (and the files they contain) prioritizing, remote control through a secure Web User Interface.

Looks like they skipped 2.9.8. The UI changes are noticable. :)

3.0 might come sooner or later. Lets see how it's going to be.

I don't know why.. but any build I download from SledgeHammer, when I run it, the program hangs constantly, to where I can't use it at all.

But if I install the ones compiled by mkdib or fszymanski, they work fine.

Good to know. :D

I'm thinking about recommending qBittorrent for an article to torrentfreak guys. Especially when I saw they are lacking Windows devs. Haven't been able to get time though.

I'm no where an expert, but might probably be because mkdib and fszymanski use MSVC 2010 and SledgeHammer uses MSVC 2008. Might wanna check your distributable version on the PC. :)
