Administrator DKT27 Posted June 25, 2012 Administrator Share Posted June 25, 2012 HD Tune is a HD/SSD utility which contains various functions ranging from drive performance measurements to securely erasing all data. It is also capable of performing disk health checks (including scanning for errors and a temperature display). HD Tune Pro adds the following functionality compared to the free version: low-level write performance benchmark, file benchmark, random access performance measurement and a cache test. It also sports a disk monitor, a folder view (which displays the disk usage per folder) and the ability to manipulate the AAM (Automatic Acoustic Management) settings. HD Tune supports HDs (internal or external), SDDs, USB sticks, memory cards, iPods, etc.DownloadNote: New addition to the listings.

This is also required because it seems that it takes almost a year to see a new HD Tune update. So should we wait for it to update, which has no guarantees when, to let the members know that we've listed it? :) Also, FOSI release is available everywhere, but people don't know where to get it from a trustful source. ;) We could have posted the FFF retail if you wanted that. :P
sinders
Okay, I understand now. I wasn't trying to offend you but just thought the News & Updates sectionwas for new news and so thought your post contained a newer 5 version of the software. No problem. :) TBH, I was going to mention "Not an update." in the note (seriously) but that sounded too weird. :P
