Windows Firewall Control 3.3.0.4

Microsoft Windows have already built-in default, free and powerful firewalls, but unfortunately, they lack a simple interface to define own simple rules and can be difficult sometimes to configure them the right way. Windows Firewall Control is a nifty little application which extends the functionality of the Windows Firewall and provides quick access to the most frequent options of Windows Firewall. It runs in the system tray and allows user to control the native firewall easily without having to waste time by navigating to the specific part of the firewall. Windows Firewall Control offers four filtering modes which can be switched with just a mouse click. Registered Users can take advantage of learning Mode and password protection.

brain_death

For full functionality this program requires the DNS Client service to be enabled...

Comodo have a working beta of their firewall for Windows 8 at the links below, although don't upgrade and turn off automatic updating if you want it to keep working.

x86:

http://download.como...S_Setup_x86.msi

x64:

http://download.como...S_Setup_x64.msi

This version is based on CIS v5.8.228740.2254. It may not immediately install successfully, so run the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter to install it.

Why don't you be useful and try it, rather than relying on someone else to do your work for you?

What program have you switched to?

windows 7 firewall control by sphinx software

1. it uses 1/10 memory compared to windows firewall control

2. it does not require the bloated dotnet framework 4

3. theres only one process running in the background (further lessens the complication)

4. sadly the free version thou is very limited, only got 4 basic options for programs(enable all, disable all, incoming only and lastly outgoing only)

i find this thing very suitable for me as a gamer

PS. if youll ever try it..lemme know what you think of it..it might not be as good as i see it

even thou it doesnt give me a odd feeling at all

Dunno, has always been such. That appears on every value on Task Manager wherever there are numbers.
