I'll stick to VSO's CopyToDVD. That 1 have all my burning needs covered.

since you seem so fond of VSO products, I updated the keygen for convertx2dvd with a keygen for all products

waiting 4 micro, altho i might just stay w/ 8.3.6.0 till i need to install .net fw 3 for some other app..

the new versions add nothing but bloat nowadays anyway.. sad.. :/ we need a new nero.. i use imgburn when burning & creating isos tho & it's great..

now it even supports creating discs the drag & drop style but somehow it's UI doesn't have the feeling in that area..

That's bloody interesting I will try to emulate your problem. Give me a mo...

Edit:

Starts burning fine here. Worked fine! Mind you I did a clean install. For the plugins there are reported problems at least for the mp3 pro plugin using IND serial. It is suggested using the old keygens for that.

i install it last night.

first, i install the dotnet 3.0 and restart to be sure.

then i install dotnet 3.0 patches, and restart again, to be sure everything is fine.

even if i uncheck all the composant except nero burning rom, the installation wizard always say it need 1 gig

so, i decide to install all, to see if some of these things work good.

i install nero 9 FR Full, on XP FR, with the serial, and it take a very long time, more than half an hour, probably 45 minutes.

i then open it, and go to the command center, to check the licence, and add some more...

yes, nero was fully activated...supposedly, and not limited.

i then try to add serials for some other things, and each time i was pressing the add button, the command center was just closing.

So, no way for me to add any licence, talk about a bug...

I then try to edit a video, and the activation patent windows appear.

No way for me to add any licence, and no way to activate the product correctly.

i then try to uninstall it, and an error message about missing reg key appear, then it stop, uninstalling nothing.

i restore my system with a few days old image, without nero, without dotnet 3.0

i will continu to use Ashampoo Burning Studio, and Totally Free Burner...

That's it. I am getting too tired of this nero  bloatware crap and waiting for nero lite / micro to update.

Besides, i dislike dotnet (especially it's installation) so i refuse to use nero any longer.

I switched to this piece of freeware: cdburnerxp as mentioned in rKAnjEL's great list of essential free tools you need.

So far, it works ok for me.

I tried imgburn but i disliked the gui. :dance2:

Vso copydvd reminded me too much of ashampoo burning studio and nero vision (this is where nero lost track imo).

I keep nero micro 8 besides just in case...

Ya tOaO change your ProductActivationPatent to something like ProductActivationPatent.off. Don't delete it! Then run a registry cleaner. Haven't tested this yet but some say it works.

It might take a while if there will ever be a nero 9 lite.

Read this.

For the time being, stick to nero 8 lite or switch to alternatives.

I get a norton & acdsee kind of feeling for nero, i mean, what's next? Nero OS?
