Works fine here too ! WinXP Pro SP3 (x86). Started with v.2.5beta4 two weeks ago and was OK, then uninstalled Fixbeta4 and installed Fix 2.5 Final.

I see but how can one make that in a .reg file, change permisson of a key? Would be nice with a link to download the box fix or even the source code :D.

I updated ESS and the value didn't change :D ?

Did ESS actually download a new update? or just saw there was nothing new? I think it only changes the key once a new definitions file is available.

Hi all,

I've been on vacation and just got back. Still jetlagged though. Any how, the manual boxfix mentioned above is now the Eset3Box4ever 2.1. (I don't even remember any more.) The manual one is still effective but it can be tricky to follow for some people.

We need sombody that has some skills (undersnad how the modification work -change it to something else, and remove the "Upgrade to full version" under update) I think knowledge in programming is necessary (maybe hex editing).

see box post here:

ESET new crack

Ok,

Here is the situation. Kaspersky got a hold of a cracked egui.exe (ESET) that eliminated the trial watermarks ("Remaining trial period" & "Purchase full version...." & "Upgrade to full version....") and replace it with "Full Version". I think that this is something worth exploring. This type of modification is way beyond my capabilities. We are wondering if any one here have the skills to do something like it or offer insights.

Aside from those "watermarks" as you put it, there is no difference between the trial version and the full version. The trial version is fully functional with all features of the full version. The only difference is that it is time limited, which doesn't matter if one has a working fix for it. What you are talking about is purely a cosmetic difference that has no effect on the functioning of the program. I think most people would rather have Eset's code intact and unmodified running on their system.

Thing is that noone wants a cracked egui!

Why not?

no one wants the trial watermarks ("Remaining trial period" & "Purchase full version...." & "Upgrade to full version....")

i will never use nod32 cracked egui like cybermania and i can't see the diference between trial and full

cybermania use a cracked ekrn.exe file and not a cracked egui.exe

with cybermania ekrn.exe file you still have the trial watermarks and you can surely see the diference between trial and full version.

harpua- there is other differences between the trial version and the full version:

http://training.eset.com/kb/index.php?opti...mp;articleid=38

(priority, not always update modules ..)

I know it's more like a cosmetic change.

but I hate to see the trial watermarks and I simply want to get rid of it.

can you do that? (also remove the "Upgrade to full version" under update)

Aha I see, but why do you care about the watermarks etc? I never notice them but if you want to get rid of them get some passwds.

No, sorry, I can't do that. Wish I had such skills though.

I still don't think there is a significant difference (aside from cosmetic) between the trial version and the full version.

@dennis123123

The icon gets blue when you restart the computer, but if you mess around with the program then it's going to get yellow again.

I never see any messages, so long ago I configed nod but in | Setup - User interface - Alerts and notifications - Display only notifications requiring user intervention | I think.
