Marsupilami is preparing a new fix 2.5 (now v.2.5beta4) for ESET (now version 3.0.669) that resets trial version to 31 / 30 days. It will be called Marsu.Fix 2.5.

Mine is working fine for 5 days on WinXP Pro SP3 (32 bits). It`s an auto-fix with uninstaller on Windows - Add / Remove Programs.

He still need testers on X64 Systems.

Marsu

I can't seem to get your Marsu fix 2.5b4 x64 to work on my vista ultimate x64. I finally got it to update after attempting a dozen times

and installing 20 trial servers.

And now it says 0 days left on trial.

Again I'm using Vista Ultimate x 64 with EAVBE 3.0.669 x64

Any suggestions?

Good Evening Everyone !

So...This is going to take more time than I was thinking...

Working great here - WinXP Pro SP3 (32bits). Installed 8 days ago and showing normally Trial version-31 days left and sometimes 30 days. Never had 0 days left...

I would like to see other testers comments, using OS X64. That would be nice...

cheers

I would like to report that on Windows Vista SP1 Home Premium im using ESET Smart Security Business Edition 3.0.669.0. I was waiting for any update to marsu-fix before I installed any patch but since I have to leave on a trip in a couple days I decided to install Marsu-Fix 2.3. Before the install I had 30 days left, after installing and updating I have 31 days left. I don't know if that may just be typical behavior when switching to a trial server or if the patch is working. I'll report back in a couple days before I leave if it's still at 31 days.

31 / 30 that`s the usual when it`s good.

I suppose you have a x86 SO ?

Marsupilami is trying to make a New Fix and seems problems may arrive with x64 OS - For X86 seems fine.

ive got Vista Business SP1 x64 and MarsuFix 2.5b4 x64 works just fine for me. do u have UAC enabled or is anything else on your computer blocking "regx64.exe" from running at startup? cuz that file must be ran in order to reset the trial.

@ShEsHy

I checked and there is nothing blocking "regx64.exe". And I'm running vista in an administrator account so UAC is not an issue.

I do have one question though does your Marsu-fix 2.5b4 x64 show up in add and remove programs as Marsu-fix2.4?

Actually, running UAC as administrator doesn't make much difference. UAC will still block all kinds of stuff and you will have to manually over-ride it each time, even as an administrator, but at least you can do so. UAC is a nice feature but it is just too much of a pain in the butt for me. I tried running with it for a while and eventually went back to without it. Also I find Windows Defender to be painful also. I think third party apps like NOD32 AV, SUPERantispyware Pro, a firewall such as Comodo FP, plus common sense internet usage, provide sufficient protection with a lot less hassle.

I like Vista x64 but hate the way MS has crippled it with respect to requiring signed drivers and certain other so called "features."

I always boot with F8 and boot with driver signing disabled. Why they don't allow the option to set the system to boot that way permanently is yet another annoying "feature" of Vista.

Ya mongatu when I said "And I'm running vista in an administrator account so UAC is not an issue."

I should have been more clear....when I set up my administrator account it automatically turns off UAC.

BTW check your pm.
