shought
The SRS Audio Sandbox™ (SAS) is the ultimate audio enhancement software for the PC. The user can select audio content (e.g. music, movie, game or voice content) and then choose from many presets (i.e. rock music, classical, jazz, country, etc) to dial in amazing sound tailored for any speaker configuration - headphones, stereo speakers, surround speakers. Based on the content being played, the preferred SRS Labs patented technology will be selected. Users can further personalize the sound through the use of advanced controls which provide deep, rich bass, restore the clarity to vocal and high frequency sounds, provide 3D enhancement for stereo and mono content and more.Note: This application has been added to the frontpage.Download
harpua
Very cool little program! Users should note that the version available here is for x86 only. However, there is a link to an x64 version available at the FAQ section of the SRS web site. The key gen provided here works for both versions! SacredCultivator
Tested this and sadly didn't like it too much, or it is probably because I don't know how to manually create my own Equalizer Settings. And the ones provided didn't prove much of a difference in regards to 'better-sound quality'... Just gonna stick with my Realtek Sound Manager. So far I feel it has very significantly enhanced the sound quality as compared to what I was getting before with just WMP. I'm impressed.

I'm impressed. In my experience it has been really great, I don't know why Cultivator doesn't experience the same... But I might have some tips for you if you've still got them :thumbsdown:I listen a lot of Rock music so I've set my Content to Music and Preset to Rock. Select what kind of speaker setup you have. Disable any other equalizer(Winamp/WMP build in, Realtek Sound Manager, whatevah!(you should also keep in mind that some speaker sets have a treble/bass tuner, you should set these in a neutral position(both the same in the middle))) now play some music. (Auto Tech selected) Bad sound quality? Cracking noise? Deselect Auto Tech and select TruSurround XT from the drop down box. Music should sound better now. Still no luck? Change your 'Speaker size'.If you think the bass isn't impressive enough you could either try to play around with the settings or select Games, First Person Shooter instead of music :D This will boost your bass, but won't make vocals go to the background because in game you've got teamspeak. If none of this works then I've got no other suggestions other than to try DFX, which I personally hate due to the fact that it made my speakers sound like utter crap. SacredCultivator
Hehe unno honestly I don't pay much attention to equalizers, not much of an 'audiophile' or anything, and unno the preset of 'powerful' from Realtek is pretty nice, and I was bored so I thought I'd just test it out is all.@Shought: Very much appreciated for you to give some advice to make things better

Very helpful. I have tried to follow most of them and it has made things even better than it was before. I'm really enjoying playing around with this. Atm, all I have is headphones but it has made a big improvement. I'm also looking forward to seeing what, if anythig it does for games like COD4, and also video files, but just for what it has done for my music, I'm very pleased. harpua
The only problem I'm having with this is that it is causing my music to occasionally skip a beat here and there. Maybe it doesn't like windows media files encoded with variable bit rate? This is really annoying because otherwise I like the way it makes things sound. I've got everything sound related I can think of set to default. Maybe I should try another player besides WMP?

harpua
Hello all antivir tells me the keygen for this is WORM/SdBot.128512.B wormYou should read this and this.Nod32 says it's clean, btw.More importantly, I think I have my configuration issues worked out and things are sounding better than ever. The problem I was having was a combination of things. For one thing, I didn't have 5.1 surround speakers configured in control panel and I couldn't figure out how to get it turned on because it was not possible to modify those settings unless the media player was closed (but I didn't figure that out until today). Also, when making configuration changes, it seems it is important (on my system at least) to close and restart the media player after the configuration changes are made. Doing this appears to have resolved the skipping problem I was having and now that I have the 5.1 thing properly configured, the sound the SandBox is putting out is even more awesome than it was before. I've been just blown away listening to some of my music through headphones now that it is working well. Very glad I took the trouble to work through the issues and figure out how to get this thing working properly.
