ck_kent
Is there a workaround that the search form will let us use a keyword that is less than 3 or 4 characters long? Because there are times that I have to use version numbers as search keywords (i.e. Firefox 11) and it doesn't let me do it. It would be nice if it's possible to do that so we could get more precise search results rather than looking for every result with the Firefox keyword on it.Thank you and best regards,ck_kent
Administrator DKT27 Posted April 24, 2012 Administrator Share Posted April 24, 2012 Have you tried using "Firefox 11" (with quotes) or similar? Otherwise no, I don't think there's a workaround. You can however, try google: site:nsaneforums.com xyz Replace xyz with anything you want to search. :)
Administrator Lite Posted April 24, 2012 Administrator Share Posted April 24, 2012 I don't see a massive benefit in reducing the minimum search term length, as the resource usage vs the benefits are skewed in one direction. (I've reduced to 2 characters temporarily) It is better to use the advanced search in your case.
