Iamsuper
Source [Full Article - Here] Article -> Firstly a question to ask our readers … whats is sports streaming?, well the definition according to Wikipedia, “redistribute video streams in real time – the distributed video streams are typically sport channels like SkySports and ESPN covering events like football, cricket, tennis etc.” Now talking about its growth, 4/5 years ago it was extremely hard to find such streaming links to football, cricket or even tennis maybe because the resource for redistributing video streams was fairly new and limited. I can remember that the only places where you could watch these live streams were websites that required you to buy a membership on them and depending on the length you would buy your membership for prices ranged from £3 a month to £25 a year. YES extremely cheap compared to buying from SKY and ESPN …. “dirt cheap” but people did it and websites were bringing in tons and tons of profit. However as time went on technology started to improve and so did the software for redistributing video streams hence the reason now you see many sites offering streaming links for free. A simple search on Google for online streaming can bring you several websites offering this sort of service but be aware that nine times out of ten – the websites that offer these links for free have the same streaming links as another website. Although when you enter the website it has a nice layout, nice banner, nice pictures but the content meaning the streaming links are just a copy from a another website. And this is a major reason for why there has a been a growth in the sport streaming that is available on the net. Now talking about it’s legality the websites that offer links to live sporting events are not legal even though they say that the links are not hosted on there server. Two important articles which focus on the legality behind internet streaming – you can read them here and here.
