"We all know it … Easy, Simple, and Cheap to set up an online streaming site today. But we don’t realise the risks and threats that come upon us once we set up this website so as an article I decided to quickly write 5 things that we should consider before its actually up and running.

Time - A key thing when it comes to building and then constantly updating a website especially streaming. Consider the amount of time it will take you to find links for a specific stream, consider the amount of time it will take you to update your calendar and then multiply that by 10 or even 20 because as a streaming website you wouldn’t have links to one football match on that day but you’d like to have more – (for example Saturdays, when the premiership football has like 4-5 games at one time.)

Site Traffic – Focusing on generating site traffic for a streaming website can be really difficult especially if your a complete newbie. There are many reasons for this but the most important reason is the competition that’s out there. Just search on Google for some sort of stream and then wait for the results, you will be suprised out how many websites actually offer this service.

Money – To be fair with you it’s all about money, I mean the reason why people set up these streaming websites today is to generate some sort of profit. But the question is how much do you actually make and where does the money come from if your a free service providing these links? – Well to be fair with you this yet again does depend on many things but to say the truth, it’s really hard when it comes to making money because apart from advertising you have no other way of making high amounts money.

Legality – Something very important to consider if your setting up a streaming website or already run one. That is it legal?- and to be fair with you, it’s actually not however you can read upon this in much detail here and here.

Consequences – We talked about it’s legality but what are the consequences if you get caught, well its serious. You might think that it’s over the internet and no-one will catch me but when you read upon websites which have been shut down then you realise how wrong it was. An article to read upon [click here] which does show how serious the U.S. authorities are taking actions against these streaming websites.

Overall, yes it’s cool and easy to set up a streaming website but take in to consideration these five things that I have just mentioned and then think to yourselves weather it’s actually worth taking the risk."
