LeetPirate
Back-linking does not weight as heavy as new unique content and the proper use of semantic tags. Well I dunno if you are using a cms or not but ensure that the main topic of your post is inside "h1" tags. you can put the entire article inside "article" tags, and each paragraph inside "p" tags, do not use "br" line breaks unless absolutely necessary. Don't use "div" tags for any text content, use "p" instead. If you want to mark something as important both to humans and search engines then use "strong" instead of "b" tags and also you can use "em" instead of "i" tags. bold and italic tags have no semantic meaning, they only modify the visuals.Think about your topic name before publishing your blog post, like example here you named this thread "help plz" nobody on google will search for "help plz" so even this topic would get minimal hits. I renamed it to something more relevant, which is always important because your post title should reflect relevance of your content and it should contain words that people would actually use in a search engine. Always ask yourself, if I were searching on the internet for the stuff I typed in this blog post, what would I search for? Then come up with a relevant and suitable title.Oh yes and it helps if you have a proper domain name or something more permanent than those free subdomain deals around the web such as .co.cc etc. Search engines hardly rank those types of domains highly because they are high contributors of spam content.
