Technology
Hey, I was thinking to install windows 8 in the virtual machine of vmware server. However, yesterday when I click the vmware homepage app on the desktop, it took me to internet explore for login and password. I try to put in my user login and password, it was giving me error. Does anyone have any suggestion?
Administrator Lite Posted March 13, 2012 Administrator Share Posted March 13, 2012 Is VMware actually installed on your PC? To download VMWare you need an account on the Vmware site. The freeware VMWare Player may be a better option for you in this case.

Administrator Lite Posted March 13, 2012 Administrator Share Posted March 13, 2012 Yes you can install Windows 8 in VMPlayer (in the setup section choose Windows 7/ Windows 7 x64..... it will work fine). You are better to uninstall everything VMWare related before installing VMWare Player (it will play all of your current VMWare server virtual machines)
