espns
Emsisoft Anti-Malware and Online Armour Personal Firewall. Edit: have installed NIS its very light and fast on memory too as compared to othersThanks :) :showoff: As you only have 1g RAM I'd say stick with Avast 7 but run Firefox always sandboxed (Avast sandbox). Unless you need to update. Maybe use a DNS service like Open or Norton. Scan your system with Malwarebytes and whatever else you fancy regularly. Firefox addons like Ghostery, Do not Track plus. Adblock plus, That will keep it light and secure. My config was in answer to the thread title. Wasn't enough info to go on then :DI already have Ghostery & Malwarebytes. Avast was light but would often hang and not do scanning. I gave ESET a go it was light aswell as faster on scanning. DNS Service is? morteza
It's not important which security software i use.a security software detect 3 security risks on it and that is enough. :)

Administrator DKT27 Posted March 1, 2012 Administrator Share Posted March 1, 2012 @tipo: It seems that you have scanned the wrong url. :) The url in your link: http://anonymz.com/?http://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=cfile5.uf.tistory.com That's the result of dereferer.ws site, not tistory.com. The right one should be this.
dcs18
The ideal security is like beauty and lies in the eyes of the beholder. One man's wife is another man's concubine. The ideal security, I'm afraid does not exist, was never discovered and will never be invented. The advanced User will always use that security that affords him the finest granularity and manual override. The Noob will always be induced into using that security that does everything automatically on his/her behalf. With the hectic manner in which updates are rolled out, what was path-breaking security system, today shall be relegated to history by something more upcoming, tomorrow. The advanced User of today will grow into the defunct Noob, tomorrow and vice versa. What will never change and be asked unto eternity is that one mind-boggling question - What's an ideal security configuration? grouchysmurf
Ok, I have got MORE ideas from all of you than I know what to do with. So, for your review, my team:Panda Anti-virus....light on resources, good detection.FireFox browser with:AdblockNoScriptGhosteryAnonymoXCollusion..(I use this to check the effectiveness of the anti tracker plug ins, not 100% accurate, but you get an idea)I also keep Process Explorer on in order to view in real time any "unknown" process that may crop up.
