installed fine, a heads up tho if you choose the upgrade/retain settings method the damn thing will install the 3D driver and the 3D driver control thingy adding 2 more processes to ur startup. I had not previously installed the 3D components so I assumed it would skip them since I used the upgrade/retain settings method to install the update. I went back and uninstalled the 3D stuff ok but still IMO it should never have been "forced" upon me. The next time I will choose the custom setup. thanks again for the update

The best way to fix it, is ; remove the nVidia-driver in device-manager and remove the nVidia-maps in program-files , reboot, then you get a much older version of the nVidia-driver, from 2009.Reboot again and update the driver to the latest version with the set-up. In the set-up you can choose what to install and what not to install, works perfect! Only one thing, you have about 70 Mb less then before the operation!! I cant find the reason for this, anybody knows ???

I am having problems with this driver. Every time i play a video file or youtube videos my monitor flashes to black screen then back again to normal. When i click stop it flashes to black screen then back again.

It is so annoying. What is the stable version of the GeForce Drivers? I am no hardcore gamer. Mostly photoshop and video editing.

My card is GTS 450 1Gb.

Thanks!

There's a simple fix to the black screen before/after videos problem in 295.73:

Go to the "Adjust desktop color settings" section and change "Content type reported to the display" from "Auto-select (recommended)" to "Desktop programs".

This eliminates all black screens before/after videos, including 720p resolution and higher videos (for some people, including me, this problem existed before 295.73, but only for 720p resolution and higher videos).
