Eset NOD ESS Virus Signature Database 2945 (20080313)

I'm new to NOD ESS, I noticed that my update was successful with no RED warning tags. However, it's weird that it said "update is not necessary" and I see that the "Version of virus signature database: 2945 (20080313)" is very outdated compared to the signature list shown in ESET website. Do I have anything wrong with this? Need help! Thanks.

Yep, that's not right. What fix do you have installed? Or are you using the Alternate Update Server, which doesn't work anymore? Try uninstall ESS, installing it again and installing Marsufix 2.3(which you can find on the frontpage).

Thanks, I guess I was using some retail version instead, so it doesn't have any trial period. I'll try with an Eval version and use the Marsu-Fix.

I tried uninstalling and use the new download to install, it doesn't show me the trial period at all. How do I clean up everything and start a fresh install? Anyone please help.

Well for uninstalling: Uninstall any present fix, uninstall ESS, go to C:/Program Files/ESET and delete everything in this folder(can be anything you named it, but that's standard name)use CCleaner and TuneUp Utilities to clean your registry. Now you can go ahead and download a Trial version of ESS from their sites (version 3.0.650 preferably), shit a new version 3.0.657 is out and i don't know if Marsufix works with that... Well try getting your hands on 650 since there aren't many changes from 650 to 657. Then install it, install Marsufix 2.3 and restart your computer, now everything should be ok.

For Marsufix an update or a restart is required. I just put that in 'in case'. If I'd only let him do the necessary it might not work ;) I tried updating and didn't get updates with Marsufix, right after installing, and then i rebooted and i did get them, so it might help somehow.

uhm?...hav u tried wat box have made??..its a crack use to stop the trial days from counting down..its very useful and i am using an ESS version 3.0.650.0.. this is his post:

Here is a recap of the cracks that I have so far. I don't include the trial applications with my cracks because you can download them directly. This way you know that you have the official software.

1. BitDefender 2008 (11.0.16) AV, IT, and TS -- This crack extends the license to the year 2065 by inserting a license/registration and locking it down so BitDefender can't tag it. I also include the official BitDefender Uninstall Tool. This is for the XP/Vista x86 & x64. I also posted the BitDefender 2008 applications in its own folder. 3. Eset 3.0.650 (EAV & ESS) -- This one stops the trial date from counting down. The expiration date stays fixed at

31 days forever. It also convert the commercial version to a trial version so it uses Eset's own server to update the virus signatures. --Eset3Box4ever 2.1.zip--

4. Kaspersky 7.0.1.325 -- This one resets the trial period and let you activate it again so you can get an additional 30 days every time you apply the crack. --Kaspersky 7.0.1.325 Trial Reset_2.1.zip--

5. Internet Download Manager 5.12b10 -- This crack makes IDM5.12x stay a trial forever so there is no need to worry

about it expiring and no need to search for a new keygen. It basically reset the trial date every time you start your PC. --Internet Download Manager 5.12x Box4ever.zip--

6. Trend Micro 2008 -- This also reset the trial period so you get 30 more days to use it. --Trend Micro2008_16.10.1063_Trial Reset.zip--

7. CA Internet Security 2008 -- This crack is for the Computer Associates Internet Security Suite+ 2008 and the

individual internet security applications. This crack sets the expiration trial date to the year 2099. --CA Internet

Security Year 2099.zip--

8. AVG Antispyware 7.5.1.43 -- This crack just reset the trial date back to 30 days. Use it any time you want. It is for XP 86 & 64 only. I doesn't work on Vista. (I can't make it work on Vista with the script. I works manually, however.) I'm in a process of making this one stay a trial forever like the Internet Download Manager. -- AVG AntiSpyware 7.5.1.43 Trial Reset (XP).zip --
