It was designed to use as little cpu, memory and space as possible while offering all the functionality expected from advanced clients. With uTorrent, you can download files faster and contribute by sharing files and bandwidth. Additionally, uTorrent supports the Protocol Encryption joint specification (compatible with Azureus 2.4.0.0 and above, BitComet 0.63 and above) and peer exchange.

I would like to know as well, they seem to have so many updates with this app, it really becomes quite a hassle for me to constantly upgrade, because everytime i do the update, i need to uninstall the previous version choosing to keep my configuration intact, but after installing the new version i have to reconfigure everything.

^You don't need to do that. Just close/exit out of uTorrent and upgrade to the latest version. No need to uinstall, and your settings are retained.

Unfortunately, i have to do that because if i do not uninstall the previous version and just apply the update, after when everything is done installing when i load up utorrent, it is still the same old previous version.

^That's weird because that's how I do the installing/upgrade. And you're 100% sure that you've exited the program entirely right? Because Iknow there's been a few times I didn't check Task Manager (processes) and when upgrading it remained same version.
