Instead, it offers a number of different layers of protection, starting with only allowing programs to run that you give permission. So, if you go to a dangerous website, something won't just start silently running. Online Armor's new personal firewall provides awesome protection from inbound threats and complete control of data leaving your computer for the internet. In standard mode, most decisions are made completely automatically based on Online Armor's whitelist - meaning that you never need answer a complex firewall prompt again.

Online Armor is a (standalone) Firewall. As usual, you just not use more than one firewall at the time (compatibility). However it is possible to use Kaspersky Antivirus with Online Armor.

Online Armor is a good Firewall, is in the top 3 of my list with Comodo and Outpost.

Thanks.

This is odd for them, third release in a short period of time. Must be some significant bugs as they usually don't update with anything like this sort of frequency. I think Emsisoft fouled up this firewall. I used to use it (and thought it was great) but after emsisoft acquired it, I had so many problems I had to give up. Would love to go back to it if they ever pull it together, but I'm not sure Emsisoft has the ability to do that.
