Tweety.Abd
I'd like to hear your comments about the video, whether or not the dad did the right thing. If you disagree with his actions, I'd like to know what you think the dad should have done instead.
wolf
are you kidding me? if what he read is exactly what she wrote then i agree with his actions. she's a kid complaining about doing dishes and making coffee WTF....complain about ur parents abusing you or something serious if you want to, don't disrespect your parents because you don't want to do dishes. she should be grateful she has a bed to sleep in at night in a warm house. if she doesn't like go live on the streets... and people need to quit encouraging these idiotic kids. Tweety.Abd
I agree with you, kids these days need more disciplining, but I disagree with the way he handled things. She might have said bad things about her parents among her friends, and it would have been forgotten by time, but this, with about 2 millions views and increasing, this is nothing but utter humiliation of his own daughter. It's interesting that he speaks of how speaks of his poor lifestyle, etc. while shoots the laptop when he could have donated it to one who deserves it? And he claims to be an IT pro, yet he uses his cam to capture his screen. It's amazing to see people believe the guy instantly and giving credit to him for publicly humiliating his own daughter. Also lots of teens comment that they wouldn't do such a thing to their parents for simple chores, etc. maybe that wasn't all she was told to do. It would take a lot for someone to write about their parents like that. I'd like to see what happens to that poor girl, maybe she'll kill herself or at least try to. Only time will tell. Only time will tell. How much more should a child be doing to deserve that treatment in your books? The kids spoilt rotten to the core and takes for granted all her material possessions and neighbours. Whats wrong with humiliation? Police parade convicts on the street but yet that technique is praised upon. Not to be ageist or anything, but the people who complain about his actions are generally of a younger age where materialism prevails and such actions is frowned upon. Sure he could have donated the laptop but why use this case as an example of wastage when supermarkets like Walmart throw food out by the tonnes. hdfreedom
I find it unfortunate that the Dad felt the need to post it on the web. As far as I'm concerned both sides acted inappropriately. As a father of 3 (long gone from the nest), I would have talked to her, explained to her the error of her ways, paddled her little butt, put her on restriction of some sort, Taken her laptop away, and called it a day."Spare The rod, spoil the child". Seems to me that this might have been an issue with Daddy also, as I see him acting just as childish as the child. Looks to me that he was trying to prove something to the wrong people, when he should have been interested in the problem and solution, not with saving face on the net.Just my 2 cents...Oh, by the way.... If you can look at your child and see someone that you aren't proud to turn loose on the world, then you can't be proud of yourself....

Adrean
For some reason, I feel there's something wrong.. something utterly wrong about this vlog. Perhaps it's that he overdid a little? We don't know exactly what happened since we're hearing only one side of the coin here. So who knows. The daughter is not gonna respect him for doing that for sure. And I can't imagine how terrible she's feeling right now.
Knightmare
I think this guy is famous or something because he gets 1,000 likes on all of his Facebook posts.
Tweety.Abd
What the guy did was wrong in my opinion for the following reason: - He exibited unnecessary violence by using the gun. - He should have rather donated the laptop to a charity or more deserving than putting bullets through it specially after he mentioned his hard life and poverty, etc. - He should have upload the video on his Facebook account and posted it on his daughter's wall so that only her friends could see it, rather than uploading it on YouTube and disgracing and humiliating his own daughter (10 million views and counting) - He should have taken the higher ground and acted in a more honorable manner, instead he did the same as his daughter, just million times bigger. And as Adrean has mentioned, I too seriously doubt if she will start respecting him, she might do so out of fright (seeing your dad shoot a laptop can be terrifying), but it will not solve anything. And seriously, what kind of mother would say 'put a bullet in for me' ? And since we'll never know the whole story, it's just sad to see how this parent has acted. All he did was humiliate his daughter and people were applauding him for doing that. There's something really, really wrong with the world. avmad
That sort of thing should be kept private. What happens at home stays at home. Big man to shoot a laptop. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with a bullet in his ass.

He could have posted the video on her wall and kept it within her friends, showing out to the world is humiliating.
Ambrocious
The aggression he showed to the laptop was actually the aggression that he couldn't legally show to his daughter. If someone shot my computer, I'd probably break their legs.

Bleeding Rose
That whole thing is so over-top i don't know if it's even true or something he did to get some attention. If she did write that on her facebook, why would a grown man then a) Shoot a perfectly good (if that is what it is, we don't even know that it isn't some piece of junk he picked up from Goodwill) laptop? B) Upload it to youtube for the world to see, unless he wanted to gain notoriety.Something about this screams "hoax" to me.
