Argente
Hola!!Para ustedes cual es el mejor antitrojans??Saludos!!-----------------------Hello! For you as he is best antitrojans? Greetings!
Administrator Lite Posted August 5, 2005 Administrator Share Posted August 5, 2005 Depends what you want.... As there isnt a single best oneRealtime or on demand? Just trojans or other stuff (such as spyware etc). Scanning of registry? TRUE memory scanner? Heuristics? Additional tools? Unpackers? etcTo be honest, some anti-viruses generally detect more trojans than specialised anti-trojan apps.
preso
Agree with the first point. Anti-trojan,antivirus, etc.. There isn't the best one, i believe the best one is the one that suits the user. In other words, the users has to know how to use it and the settings.I read in some articles that some experience users like to use dedicated anti-trojans for their protections because of more trusted and better detections compared to non dedicated ones.I wonder what's really the differences between anti-trojan adn antivirus,....the sigs, engines, databases update? Administrator Lite Posted August 5, 2005 Administrator Share Posted August 5, 2005 The QUALITY of the signiture used by an anti-trojan is generally better. The signitures are more tollerant to things like rebasing and repacking etc. However, most anti-viruses come over these by things like emultion, heuristics, powerful unpackers and more singitures. The cleaning engines of some AT's are better (ie LSP/registry cleaning). However the better anti viruses can also do things like this.
preso
Don't get it with the last point "The cleaning engines of some AT's are better (ie LSP/registry cleaning). However the better anti viruses can also do things like this" better anti viruses can also do it, but not really clean? and the rest of uncleaned user have to do it manually? something that i really avoid. don't like to and too lazy.honestly, i just depend on nod32 for the anti trojan atm. hope it does something good against trojans. Administrator Lite Posted August 6, 2005 Administrator Share Posted August 6, 2005 Most anti-viruses have relivitly poor cleaning engines. Lets leave it at that.NOD32, has the capabilities to remove complex malware, weather they choose to use the capabilites in ALL sigitures is highly unlikely. Myrak
Ewido is a pretty good app, from what I've tried.I just use it for on-demand stuff, for realtime it's just nod32 + Sygate.
