Marik
CachemanXP is a Windows tuneup utility designed to improve the speed and stability of your computer by optimizing caches, recovering RAM and fine tuning a number of system settings. Oneclick-Optimization makes it suitable for novice and intermediate users yet it is also powerful and versatile enough for computer experts. Backups of settings ensure that all user modifications can be reversed with a single click. CachemanXP requires Windows 2000/2003 or XP/XP64 to run, uses minimal resources and virtually no CPU time. The help file includes a screenshot based system performance guide. Unlike other tuneup utilities, CachemanXP runs as a system service, minimizing resource usage and tweaking Windows at system-level.Download

shought
Any feed back on this ?Does it actually make noticeable changes ?Does it work the same as Tune ups Memory Optimizer ? (Better ?)I'm not a big fan of TU Memory Optimizer, don't think it's very good. Tried CachemanXP, but wasn't very impressed either. I think it's just because i just got my new pc and all, and therefore i won't notice those performance improvements yet because it's way too fast for me anyway B)

shought
Mem optimizors don't work anywho B)In some situations they can give a performance increase. Scenario: I've just used LimeWire to download some songs, am browsing the web with FF and using WLM as my messaging service at the same time. When i shut all of those down, the performance of the memory can be increased by defragging(optimizing) it.
Sonar
yeah ive done a Defrag through "UD2008" and always have open "TU mem opt..." while Encoding films, Don't really see much of a difference but some how it must be doing something in the background.. or they wouldn't create them?TU mem opt... -> WLM / FF / ESS / ConvertX / UT -> PGNot really looking for a big change... but if t helps ;p

I don't think you will see a performance increase whilst encoding movies, because you probably won't be doing anything else at the same time, right?is this like tuneup utilities 2008??..uhmmm btw can i ask u guyz if this utility tools does actualy work??...TuneUp Utilities has a lot of handy utilities in it, don't know about CachemanXP, i've tried it once, but didn't like it that much. If i were you i'd give TU and CCleaner a try.

Archaven
Thanks for the release. I've been a long time user of cachemanxp. From my personal experience, it's one of the best that i've used. Others may crash while you playing games but cachemanxp do not but increases the overall performance. (Some games have memory leak, and hence having a solid memory manager is great). DJPrice
Well I've been giving cachemanxp a try now for a while & I've found it helps out my system. My bootup before would take around 4 minutes & now its around 2 minutes. I also used a website that has a list of system services that are ok to disable, so that also probably helped a lot. If anyone would like the site then heres the guide on safe services to disable for WinXP SP2 & for WinXP SP3
RoDrAs
Yeah, that guide's fantastic. I saw it about 2 years ago and it really improved my system. I only have 512 MB of RAM and my computer runs faster than some with 1 GB.
