Example: When I try to install Alcohol 120% I get this message: 'Error 1606. Could not access network location %USERPROFILE%\RECENT\ When I try to install Diskkeeper Pro 9 I get: 'Error 1402. Could not open key: UNKNOWN\DfrgSnapin.DfrgSnapin.1\CLSID. Verifiy that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.And it is driving me nuts >< if you happen to know what is up I do need input.. Not Win 98/ME so I dont' know how to fix that problem =/I misread that part...THIS SHOULD WORK... IT WAS POSTED AS A RESOLUTION TO THE SAME DISKEEPER PROBLEM YOUR HAVING.1. Go in the registry editor. The top most folder listed iHKEY_Classes_Root.Right-click on this folder and select PERMISSIONS from the menu.2. Once there, look through the permissions listed and make sure thatAdministrators and System are both listed. If they are not, pleasrefer tothe bottom of this write-up under "Conditional Step".3. If they are both listed, make sure that both have Full Controlchecked on ALLOW. If they are not yet checked, click in that box anselectAPPLY. This will put the proper permissions through the registry anshouldset you up for a good installation. Once finished with this area selecOKand close the Registry Editor.4. Once done, retry the installation of Diskeeper.Conditional Step---------------------If you've found that System and/or Administrators are not listed ithepermissions section, you will need to add them. To do so, click thAddButton and in the following screen type System or Administratordependingon which is missing. (You may only do one at a time).
