Knightmare
For some reason, my iTunes will stop playing my Protected AAC files at different times for each file. One song stopped with 42 seconds left to go in the song, and another one stopped 4 minutes before the song was over. It would suck if this means that all of my Protected AAC files were corrupted; however, this seems to be a bit odd that it would only corrupt that file type. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Win7nerd
now did you protect them yourself or did u download them yourself protected? maybe try converting them with a program? im not sure ive never actually ran across that issue :(
Knightmare
I downloaded them like that about 5+ years ago. Then they switched to Purchased AAC Files instead of Protected AAC. I don't know if it did this on my laptop or not. I don't remember having songs stop on my laptop but maybe I skipped them before they got to the end. I do have song ADD where I get bored with songs and move on.
Bizarre™
@Knightmare:Did you purchase your songs from the iTunes Store? If you did, then it's best that you contact iTunes Store Support. They can restore your previous purchases for you. Although I suggest you make a list of all the songs you are having issues with. I just ended up copying them from my laptop and readding them and everything seems fine now. Thanks for all your help.Just google that song and you will find it free without protection :)This was never an option because there were 103 bad files. Bizarre™
@Knightmare:It's good to hear that you resolved your issue. It's always a good idea to do regular backup ^_^
Knightmare
Agreed. Not sure how to fix this issue incase someone else has it though. I think the only thing I did differently when I was adding my music was I didn't use the "Automatically Add to iTunes" folder. Not sure if this would be the problem or not, but that's all I did differently.
