RoboForm is a Password Manager and Web Form Filler that completely automates password entering and form filling. It allows you to define your personal profile or "usual" responses to a web form. This information is then saved, and when you need to fill a form, just click "Fill Forms" button, and form is filled out. Works as an add-on to Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Chrome, Firefox or Netscape web browsers.

Thanks to thylacine for the update.

Do people really use 'cracks' on a password and credit card database software? I don't know about that.. I did that when I was younger, but I moved on to LastPass. Cracking RoboForm is probably one of the stupidest things you can do on the internet.

Working fine under 7 x 64 (Firefox 9.0.1), tested using Rfpatch above.

I don't use it when it comes to debit card transfers. The banks were I live provides these code generating devices for that:

for lastpass, you have to create an account and all your login data will be stored in this account and if your lastpass account is hacked then all your login data is revealed ,you are the only one that will be in deep trouble

when it comes to icici,it is highly secure for online transactions because you need to enter digits which were on the back of the card until and unless transaction will not be done.all famous banks have their ownway of protecting people ,no need to worry about it :D

That doesn't matter if you have a strong master password. All the passwords are salted, hashed and encrypted / decrypted locally. Again, having a good to great master password doesn't make it easy for anyone to get your data.

LastPass data is all stored encrypted similar to Roboform. I think shirinen's point was that he didn't trust the security of the Roboform crack.

that crack is related to "license" .it doesnt matter for securing your logindata stored in roboform -_-

The RoboForm "crack" patches a license.rfo file and roboform.dll file. I think the crack is safe. It just changes license data. It's never asked to connect to the Internet. It's never been detected as being malicious.

Simply don't use it if you hesitate. But I think it's pretty safe.

I agree that it's "pretty safe." Actually I'm less concerned about the safety of the Roboform crack than I am about the trustworthiness of Siber Systems, the maker of Roboform. They promised everybody a "lifetime license" yet when they brought out ver 7.x they reneged on their policy and charged for the upgrade. They were sneaky about it too. A lot of people used the internal updater and didn't realize they had been converted to a 30 day trail until the 30 days were up.

Roboform is security software, and I need to trust the people behind my security software. Siber System should have honored their lifetime licenses or they should have given a warning that they were changing their licensing policy well in advance.

That's one of the reasons I dumped Roboform and moved to LastPass. You can import all your Roboform data and in my experience, LastPass works better than Roboform for many browsers. Furthermore the Roboform 7.x releases have had some stability issues with new versions coming out quicky to correct various bugs. LastPass has been very solid and it's free.

Sorry to come late to the party, but you had me until "roboform.dll." Does any aspect of RoboForm access the internet? Did you ever monitor those connections?

Hey, I don't know, I'm just raising some concerns that are not really being addressed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if it modifies the .dll then doesn't that modify aspects of how the exe executes and works - don't .dlls contain directions for the exe? Many viruses are just .dlls, in fact.

To each their own with Roboform, but this is a piece of software that stores YOUR IDENTITY and all of your financial information. Stolen passwords can get people fired from their jobs. I think it's worth looking at the network activity of RoboForm - but you'd have to do that over weeks - since you can never be sure how often it calls home.
