mray88
Hi, and Happy Holidays to all!I'm searching around for network software with a particular function, and am having difficulty locating it. I was hoping some people on the forum might know of something that would do the trick.I was a long time Online Armor user, and recently gave up on it as IMO Emsisoft has completely fouled it up. One of the functions in Online Armor was a page that would show you other machines on the network. However, it not only shows the other computers wired into a network router, it also has a simple light-up indicator for when those computers are actually active. It's quite useful if you're on a leeched wifi connection, as it gives you the opportunity to move along if the owner of that connection is online and active.I recently tried "Wireless Network Watcher" by nirsoft, which I saw in a topic on nsane. However, that software will show you other machines hooked into a router, but it doesn't give any indication of whether or not they are "active". I've tried a few other softs as well, but haven't yet located anything that performs the same simple function as Online Armor did.Any of you know of some network software that would accomplish this? I can't believe OA would be the only thing out there that can perform this function but have tried several things, and haven't yet found anything else. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
