beer
There's sad Keanu, there's happy Keanu and now, gentleman Keanu? The top post on Reddit this Friday is a video of Keanu Reeves kindly giving up his seat to a woman on the Q train last summer, proving himself to be an upstanding citizen. It's an interesting case study in celebrity-on-the-subway sociology. How do New Yorkers react to such a famous person joining the daily commute? They don't. For the most part, the straphangers don't seem to pay attention to the Matrix star. Do they not recognize him? Are they just trying to play it cool? One Redditor has a theory: "They are probably all busy recording him in secret. Just look at how he keeps glancing around. He seems a little uneasy. Either that or he's just watching out for Smith."Yes, probably.(source)Just look at how he keeps glancing around. He seems a little uneasy. Either that or he's just watching out for Smith." those were my thoughts exactly.I think Keanu Reeves seems like a quite a good guy from what I've read about him in the past. Even though his gesture here is seen as the norm, but I think a lot of people don't even bother getting up (not to mention hollywood millionaires who put others first). Nemesis
its likely no one recognized him. i think its sad that a simple gesture towards a stranger makes the news. so he's famous... big deal he eats and sleeps just like me. im glad hes not full of himself but i think that this is how people should act all the time anyway... ck_kent
I think Keanu is geniunely a nice guy. He even gave part of his earnings in The Matrix movies to the costume and special effects guys. He said "Money is the last thing I think about. I could live on what I have already made for the next few centuries." :D
grouchysmurf
I think first off that he shows alot of patience, knowing that he is being recorded.Second, that lady is now kicking herself in the A$$because she did not recognize him.Third, I think he missed a terrific opportunity tomess with people. Can you imagine Neo gettingon board in full costume? B)

As I filter through the news these days almost everything I read about celebrities is expensive toys/estate, plastic surgeries, partying, drugs, sex, crime, and etc. I do admit that I have personal admiration for keanu reeves, and I think it is quite nice to see the humble side of a man even when he is rich & famous.
