The visual aspect of YouTube.com suffered some visual changes recently. Although it hasn't yet been officially launched, in the following I'll show you how to activate the new design on Firefox and Chrome

.You need to open your cookie browser and manually input the cookie, using the following steps:

If you are using Chrome:

  • Open YouTube.com and pres Ctrl+Shift+J

If you are using Firefox:

  • Open YouTube.com and pres Ctrl+Shift+K

Enter the following code:

document.cookie="VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=ST1Ti53r4fU";

Press Enter, close the console, press F5 and wait for the page to reload. This is what I got:

Now how about a tutorial on how to disable it? :please:

It can be disabled by deleting the cookie, unless your region has fully transitioned to the new layout.

There is a new version of Google that will be rolled out soon, which is similar to Youtube (makes sense to see consistency across Google sites).

Picture of the new look Google is shown below:

Thanks. I'm really not liking the new youtube look :s. Google doesn't bother me as much it really doesn't look that different.

People hate change and it's normal. I think it's a better layout and shows all the stuff that you care about. Use it for a couple weeks and you will get used to it. I do disagree with the removal of the 5star rating system though.
