TheAslan
So, i have to terminate those two services in taskmanager then run this update and select repair ( because there's no update option available ), am i right? i did this before earlier and it asked me to restart my computer after repair and still it showed old version number. I think that there's no bulletproof way to update TU.

shajt
How do you just update to the latest version ?I've run this but it says that I need to uninstall previous version and I don't feel like doing it (I'm not sure what happens with settings...)There used to be just an update file and it was easy to upgrade, there's no such kind of update for this version ? TheAslan
For me this doesn't work, I used that update method, first I closed those 2 TU processes in taskmanager then I installed this update by using repair method, but it shows old 12.0.2040.9 version after repair. What is the correct method for this? Any help? I have W7 Ultimate x64 and TuneUp Utilities 2012 v12.0.2040.
shajt
I used the same method as you, but for me it worked in x86.12.0.2110.9 is showing in About menu.I had 12.0.2040.9 before that update, killed two processes of TU , run the update file, selected repair, it did its thing and started TU automatically after repair, went to About to see the version and it said 12.0.2110.
toyo
I have the same issue with the version number from "About"... it still shows the old one (x64). But if you take a look at the file versions, they are updated. Anyway, I still hate it and let TU update as usual on the net, and give it a new serial when needed :P
TheAslan
It would be great if somebody finds a way to use "blacklisted" serial codes in TU, so no matter when you update TU in normal way it'll stay activated.
