majithia23
@implaguethanks mate .. :)i never heard bieber and neither do i intend to , but i feel so sad for the kids who listen to him and even idolize him and other craps like him.what does a 13 year old dumba@@ know about music , unless he is from the Mozart's or Beethoven's blood line .which is highly unlikely, especially when you hear him or other such crappy guys screaming in auto tuned voices " baby , baby , baby ...." , " friday , friday , friday ... " , " hit me , hit me .... "duh : :doh:thanks to all the stupid media , advertising , wrong campaigning , corporate worlds , hype , and wrong impressions ,kids today end up listening to these ---damn ... :doh:this is what i or any one else with a good interest in music grew up listening to , idolizing , imitating and copying. and i still do .this is what music looks to me - :showoff:but still hope is there ,in people like you and me ,and this awesome kid ... ! :) ;) :showoff:

Administrator DKT27 Posted November 18, 2011 Administrator Share Posted November 18, 2011 I was brought up listening to Mohd. Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar. My father is a die-hard Rafi fan, so most of them were from him. Glad to know people still like classics. These days I hear a lot of non-Indian music, from 50s to 90s English, from childhood anime favorites to new ones. But JB, please. -_-Gotta mention this, about 80% new Indian songs don't get my vote either.
majithia23
@Dgood things always finds its takers among good people .. ;)and 20% acceptance rate for the new music ( actually new noise ... ! ) is way toooo high , if you ask me .... ! :Pjust to illustrate, an eg . --one is the original classic, and the other one is , well if you have heard it , all vulgar and mindless stupid remix of it ,but still see the irony -- :doh:if i were to put , i d say , its only about 5% .95% out there is all shitty n rubbish.and this 5% is also esp in the underrated / under ground music and artists .check this one. beautiful song with some nice lyrics and music from a good movie , -- tere andar bhi kahin - stanley ka dabba . and there are many like this one .... ;)well we only prey for the kids of today . lord have mercy . !poor stewie couldnt take any more of this -- :P
Administrator DKT27 Posted November 18, 2011 Administrator Share Posted November 18, 2011 I dunno, I don't like or hear any new hindi music these days, some songs from Sonu Nigam (not so many these days?) and some music from films from A. R. Rahman (Irrespective of Jai Ho) is something that I find acceptable from these days.Good song though. :)
johndoe
Sonu Nigham is very good. Listen to his cover of "chal ud ja re panchi" then listen to the original by M. Rafi - you will find them to be equally comparable and that is saying a lot seeing what a great singer M. Rafi was.
