Process Lasso improves system performance, responsiveness, and stability during high loads through dynamic adjustments to process priority classes. It can also automatically terminate undesired processes, apply default priorities and CPU affinities to processes, limit the number of instances a process can have, and log all processes. It is not a task manager replacement, but does have task manager like capabilities to compliment its primary functions. Process Lasso runs on all editions of Windows 2000, XP, 2003, 2008, Vista, and Windows 7.

Thanks to sternog for the update.

I've heard that it conflicts with TuneUp and I saw the drop in performance using those toggether a month or so ago too. So I'll keep away from ProcessLasso. One question though: Will turning off TuneUp Live Optimization help? Makes sense, that it would...

yes just turn off the live opt.. and you'll be fine

You absolutely wrong :P I am running Live Opt and PL both,no conflict at all. They both make my PC faster. I'm on XP Pro. This already been discussed here, take a look at priority class,Live Opt as normal while ProcessGovernor as above normal

So far,smooth and fine

I'm Women :) and am BEGINNER :)

I am using and running both for 3 years  First I had TU2009 with Live Opt ON first installed then I got PL from giveaway site. Prove me if they will conflict each other. There is huge difference on performance with or without them both installed

IMO,PL is GREAT software for increasing the responsiveness on your system and managing the priority of process to prevent CPU hogging.

I just checked PL forum that inform this update for server edition, right ? main site still show 5.0.049.

The one thing I did delay was backports to v5.0.0.49/50 (server edition has a .50). I had to make a decision: Backport these minor changes and release a new final, or wait for v5.1. Since v5.1 was so close, I made the decision to wait. Good idea? I don't know. However, every update has risk involved, and requires regression testing -- no matter how small. Therefore, I simply decided to not take the risk. After all, v5.0.0.49 is a fine build. v5.1 is even finer

waiting for 5.1
