Removing System Components

Dear Readers,

I was just wondering are there any Alternatives to 'XPLite Professional'?

As it seems the License I have expired and can't find another copy to use...

And I attempted to install SP3 by doing a UPGRADE of WinXp, but came to no Success as I get the same problem (Error) I got before UPGRADING...

But to make things worse.. Now I can't uninstall a few components off WinXP that I used XPLite PRo for.. So I was just curious if anyone happened to have any suggestions of Programs that can do this (Without having to create a CD Slipstream or whatnot (nLite)

Thanks.

nLite is good for that, takes a bit diff. approach (u mod the windows disc before installation), but it's the best soft available for customizing your windows..

http://www.nliteos.com/

try it out.. :(

@HATE9X: As mentioned for nLite you have to actually create a disk to run off of, right/ Or can you use it directly to remove Component without creating a disk? As my past experience you had to create a disk which is why I mentioned any other programs aside for nLite.

Well... Yeah I know that is an option but nah don't want to do that, even though I know the payoff is better...

hmm...they really look after their app's

the key was from v 1.9.0316 and it already got obsolete in 319

the latest ver listed on the changelog of the site is 316, is there rly 319?

316 should indeed work w/ the crack at least..

you could downgrade if there's no other way..

Bahs.. Thanks for trying. XPLite Pro is such a great program, but yeah once that License goes... it just lames out on ya.

MIne is .316 and not .319

is your license the trsh one? (begins: UTjFOEreelmFTEXcNUVt....)

nvm, seems that's gotta be it.. seems they blocked that license, don't know would there've been probs if the app'd have been blocked from connecting..

edit: the old key could work by using cracklock or some similar app to fool the app to an older date.. it might work.. now it seems it bitches about the license even if the app has just been installed on the pc.. so maybe with an early date, it'd stfu.. lol

Sorry to 'bump' this thread so to speak...

But I was wondering if anyone happened to have any news as to any alternative programs that can do what XPLite Pro does without having to do like a 'fresh installation' and can do it on the spot.

Thanks.

I was just about to make a post about this. I've been using XPLite for a few years now & have also given nLite a try, but prefer to use XPLite. I did a quick search on google for an alternative, but didn't find anything. Just came up with results to either XPLite or nLite. Reason I'm after it is because I would like to do a new install with sp3 intergrated disc, but as XPLite is out of date & doesn't support sp3 there's no way to get rid of the junk I don't need. I hope that a new version of XPLite comes out soon, but I guess even if it does any sort of patch for it will probably be a while.

XPLite anyway no longer works with SP3 installed.

cheers

@jofre: Yeah that is tre, but I am sure that they will make a version to be compatible when that time comes. But not just that.. But reason we ask is the 'Key/Crack/etc.' for it doens't work and most of the online ones are the same..
