uTorrent is an efficient and feature rich BitTorrent client for Windows sporting a very small footprint. It was designed to use as little cpu, memory and space as possible while offering all the functionality expected from advanced clients. With uTorrent, you can download files faster and contribute by sharing files and bandwidth. Additionally, uTorrent supports the Protocol Encryption joint specification (compatible with Azureus 2.4.0.0 and above, BitComet 0.63 and above) and peer exchange.

Thanks to EnglishLionheart for the update.

Yes I know it's beta, it's always beta but those idiots at the uTorrent site still don't know the meaning of alpha and beta or the difference between them. Don't worry this discussion comes up all the time, and when I name it beta, somebody else comes and says it should be called alpha because that's what they have on the download site and announcement forums over at uTorrent. uTorrent site managers are retards, that's all I have to say. For so long they refuse to pick up a software engineering book and read the formal definition of alpha and beta and know when to use each term. They prefer to remain illiterate.

Regarding this alpha/beta issue, more than 4 years ago, I remember reading an announcement on uTorrent forums that future alphas will report themselves as betas in order to circumvent trackers that do not accept alpha clients.
