The CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) is a filter pack specifically built for playing anime. It has been assembled by some of the most knowledgeable people in the anime world, and one of the primary design goals is to play as much as possible with as little as possible. The CCCP attempts to be as unintrusive on your system as possible. The CCCP was created to unify the filter packs provided by several groups into a single reliable pack capable of decoding anime from practically any group without breaking compatibility with anything else.

Thanks to thylacine for the update.

Changelogs:

AAC fixes, now gg's Moshidora and some other files that used to bork with ffaac work.

All LAV Filters added to the pack since their "weight" is rather small. LAV Audio and Video's decoders are disabled by default.

Fix the status of Haali's filters made by the installer. Until now if you would not reset the settings, Haali would be used in the same way as in the 2011-07-30 release, which pretty much broke consistency.

Make the LAV Filters-related uninstallation and settings reset a bit safer. It would just remove the whole LAV folder until now, which would mean that in case you had f.ex. LAV CUVID installed it would nuke its settings as well.

Add a checkbox for LAV Video in the "Alternative H.264 Decoders" area of the settings app. It is preferred over CoreAVC and DivX H.264

Given that "LAV" is the new feature here... Sadly if you select it as the Alternative H.264 Decoder, you can't use the features of FFDSHOW with it?

As I do have some features of FFDSHOW enabled that I'd like to continue using.

Nope, you can't LAV is a different decoder and FFDShow is a different decoder.

I haven't checked the details, but I would recommend FFDShow over Lav and CoreAVC over FFDShow.

EDIT: It seems that Lav uses FFMpeg, which is libav now, and FFDShow uses libavcodec. So, in simple works, Lav and FFDShow use almost same codec to decode the h.264.
