toyo
CrystalDiskInfo is a HDD/SSD utility which support S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology). This includes such details as current drive temperature, firmware version, number of failed read or write attempts, how long the drive has been running and how often it's been started and stopped, and so on. As various factors approach thresholds of danger, CrystalDiskInfo will alert you, letting you know it's time to make backups while you still can. Thanks to thylacine for the update.Download

toyo
Wich program is better? CrystalDiskInfo or Hard Disk Sentinel? They have only partially similar features, so you can't really compare them. For SMART related info, I like CDI better, it reads correctly my SSD. Maxhedroom
CDI is a s.m.a.r.t. reader...Sentinel is an active HDD monitoring app. If anyone here is using Ocz sandforce drives then the Ocz Toolbox is the best smart reader by far but for Ocz drives only.
