sternog
By the way, activation is successful with keygen when internet is disabled, yet use software firewall to block license validation
rseiler
I'm late to getting to this, but I thought I'd point out that if someone happens to have the HOSTS entry already (see NFO), say, from a previous update, then UltraEdit will never go into offline activation mode, even with your connection disabled. I think this is because the program shunts right to 127.0.0.1 and just comes back with an error based on that, not based on the absence of a connection. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend having the entry in HOSTS at all, unless someone knows that UE does periodic checking, in which case you could use your firewall instead since it doesn't trigger the above problem. frynturn
If you get the INVALID SERVER RESPONSE error simply click on the proxy button and enter anything in the 2 fields. You will then be prompted with the dialog box that offers you the offline activation button :)
